Last weekend, we were invited to hold a stand at the Cornucopia Food Event in Leeds. The event consisted of a vast collection of local producers, all heading to the beautiful Corn Exchange to sell their wares to eager visitors for a weekend of foodie fun.
We went with two purposes in mind – to formally introduce the people of Leeds to our new Rainforest Alliance blend, and to showcase our beautiful Sanremo commercial coffee machines to potential customers. Well, actually, we also had a third purpose – to sample a lot of the yummy produce from other exhibitors, too! (Mission accomplished.)
We had a great weekend overall, giving out samples of our espressos, meeting potential customers, and generally chatting coffee to anyone who would listen! It was especially great to put a face to the Tweets, and meeting blogger/jam maker Liane Marie Binks who blogs at Everything Goes With Toast, American dessert queen The Yummy Yank, Luke from restaurant Dough Leeds, and the guys from Sunshine Bakery, were just some of the highlights.
We would definitely recommend attending the event in the future – there are plans for Cornucopia Christmas, which we are very excited about! For updates on this event and for links to other blog posts about Cornucopia, follow them on Twitter: @corncucopialeeds.
